We are lovers of Siberian Huskies. The dog is known for being a sled dog but they are so much more than just sled dogs. They are beautiful, curious, smart, perceptive dogs that adapt very well to different environments. They prefer company to being alone and often have a play companion. They do get bored easily if left to create their own fun. They love to dig very big holes, and are known to be escapes artists. My first husky would literally climb the fence. They love chasing squirrels and other small critters such as rabbits, ground hogs, and moles. They will treat a cat like a critter unless they are raised with them as pups. Even then they will chase them when outside on their turf.

Huskies really love the snow, and will stay outside in it all day if possible. Since we do not get much snow in Virginia, Whitegrass in Davis, WV is a fun place to take a Husky to go Skijoring. Skijoring is a sport where one or two dogs pull one person on x-country skis. It is a blast! See the picture on the right. You have to use the ungroomed trails, but it’s worth it. They will ski with you until you wear out. They take naturally to the sport which is more common up in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Why are we breeding our two wonderful pets? Because they are not only beautiful, they are super smart dogs. Their friendly, social nature means they are friendly with people as well as other dogs. We feel their pups will show you just how intelligent they are as a product of their parents. We expect you to be proud of your new dog.
